This is a good game, but...

This is a very good puzzle game, a rather unique game that is enjoyable. The puzzles are challenging, but not to the point of ripping your hair out.

Two issues: The first is the hammer. It feels choppy. In order for it to pop the balloon, it needs to be in the direct center of the balloon. You should mention this in the tutorial.

The second is my biggest complaint: The lightning bolts. My first issue with it is if I pop more than one lightning balloon, I only get one shot. Easily overlookable. However, the aiming is a real bitch and difficult to master. Level 32 is the main culprit. Sure, I need deadly accuracy, but I feel rushed and can only get it when I'm not supposed to fire.

What I'm saying is I can solve the puzzles, but the means of solving them are annoying. As daniel-mcl said, it seems some puzzles depend on reflexes. It takes away from the fun.

Otherwise, very well done.

I liked it.

I'm not a fan of turn based games, but this one was pretty well done. The animation and graphics were nice, and it was quite amusing.

However, it just seemed too easy. Once I got the JRPG blade, I felt there was no need to get any magic at all.

I'm not sure if I like shopping/using items doesn't take up your turn. It's helpful, but at the same time I fear it makes it a little too easy.

Regardless, it was a cute game that was fun.

Decent...

Amusing and decent graphics, but too easy...and I would really appreciate it if you gave me some credit for using my music.

Thanks for using the music!

There has to be more to this...

I've played this game a few times, and I'm trying to piece together what it means...

My interpretation of this game is the main character is trying to escape some large corrupt scheme, but since he decides to go on a side quest for money, he slowly becomes apart of what he was trying to avoid.

Very well put together, it will have me thinking for a few days.

Hmm...

I'll review by parts:

The first mission seemed straightforward enough, but I must've missed something because I couldn't figure it out. Courtesy of right click and forward/play, I was able to pass it. (Was it 1-Yellow, 3-Red, and 2-Black?)

The second mission was pretty easy. I won't tell other users where the Flash is, but I will I don't feel it was hidden well enough.

The third part seemed easy as well. You did good with the roll over instead of clicking...that would've sucked.

The graphics were great, and the music selection was pretty decent.

This was a decent game, and it has great potential.

Thanks!!!
Actually the whole roll over thing with the flashes thing... You could have missed them all and still went on... lol shhhh... I couldnt figure out a score bar thing...
And as for the doors... One clue is in the 1st room... Its a color clue... and then the 2nd clue is in the bathroom... its the order in which you enter the doors... lol Now that I've given all the secrets away...
Thanks for reviewing my flashes!!! I really appreciate it!!!! Seriously...

It's decent...

Gameplay is simple and challenging enough, but the hitTest needs a little work. I noticed that Stamper would barely touch the bee or the cactus, yet pain persisted. Also, it isn't fair to have the bee at eye level with Stamper because he can't duck or jump over them...regardless, he's gonna get screwed by them.

Otherwise, it's fun, I like how the music is based on the difficulty, and it even made me a little dizzy!

Pros?
~Nice graphics.
~Comical.
~Good music.
~Interesting combos.

Cons?
~Difficult to master combos.
~Glitch with first boss.
~Melee students get the first strike in.

Overall?
I don't like scrolling fighting games like this, but to be fair, I played it. And I didn't like it. I found it difficult to master the timing for the combos, and when put up against the Melee students, I couldn't even get a combo done.

Also, the first boss has a glitch: When he kicks, even if you are behind him, it still does damage to you.

I couldn't finish this game. It just didn't do much for me.

On the upside, the graphics were well done, the music was well chosen, and the combos themselves were pretty interesting.

Pros?
~Smooth animation.
~Nice graphics.
~Achievements and collectibles make the player want to keep playing.

Cons?
~Sometimes getting cornered.
~Wall jumping feels klunky.
~Odd levels of difficulty.

Overall?
This is a good game as mentioned below, but I don't like how some enemies can corner you and keep slicing (especially when there are multiples).

Another bizarre thing is how the first enemies are bonehead easy, then after the first boss, the enemies have almost as much health as the boss.

Finally, the wall jumping just seems klunky. In Mario-Combat, you could see Mario hanging onto the wall, so you know that a wall jump could be done, whereas in this game, you have to guess if you're gonna time it right. This was irksome when you needed to climb pits with just wall jumps.

Pelo says...

Pros?
~Smooth.
~Beautiful graphics.
~Lots of collectibles and upgrades.
~Lots of enemies.
~Long game time.

Cons?
~Hordes of enemies are unfair.
~Enemies in the distance can shoot you before you even see them coming.
~Some enemies/projectiles are hidden by background.

Overall?
This is an amazing game. I will probably spend a few days playing this because of it's simple yet addicting gameplay.

I wasn't very happy with how lots of enemies can easily over power you (even on easy), some enemies (spiders and scorpions) can easily blend in the backgrounds, and (as mentioned by another reviewer) enemies can shoot you from a distance yet you can't. I myself have found that enemies start firing at you even before you have a chance to see them, which isn't very fair to the player.

Otherwise, really good game.

Pelo says...

Pros?
~Simple gameplay.
~Nice graphics.
~Experience, upgrades, etc.
~Funny storyline.

Cons?
~Unbalanced enemies.
~Armour and upgrading life seems to do little to lower damage.
~Unclear what it wants.

Overall?
I was excited to play this game, but was actually disappointed. I'll start with the good. The graphics were pretty nice and smoothly animated (which is always a plus in any game or movie). The gameplay was very easy to grasp, and having two sets of controls is quite nice for those who prefer one over set up over the other. The comical storyline caught my attention, and being able to level up is great.

However, I felt this game was filled with problems.

The first is unbalanced enemies. Why is it that the Rat Zombie has 150 health and gives 15 experience, whereas the Doom Bat has 120 health and gives 40 experience (and the Pigman has only 50 more health than the Rat Zombie and gives far more experience). For the little experience they all give, though, they sure do a shitload of damage.

Next is the armour and health upgrades. I upgraded my armour in hopes of cutting back enemy damage by a lot. Didn't seem to do me much good (sure, Ratman R's projectiles went from max of 115 to maybe a max of 85, but that's still a lot). Also, what was the point of health upgrades? My health remained at 400 throughout the game that I played regardless of how many upgrades I made.

Finally, this is what made me stop playing. It's unclear what is expected of the player. I found two dungeons with a sword and shop, and a temple with a girl scout patch. After that, I couldn't find any other place to go. If it has something to do with the switch at the bottom of the cliff on the beach or the platform guarded by four Ratmen (behind some bushes on the west side of the map), then there isn't any clear indication of what's needed.

This game had great potential, but the above mentioned things make it less enjoyable. I'm sure that a lot of love and attention went into this game, but it just needs a few tweaks here and there.
